The Irish Volunteer - Óglach na hÉireann Volume 2 - Number 61
The front page highlights the arrest and imprisonment of Terence Mac Swiney of the Irish Volunteers in Cork Jail without charge or trial. The paper reminds its readers that John Redmond had praised the ‘moderation’ of the Government as in Germany such persons would have been shot.
Volunteers are reminded by ‘Headquarters Bulletin’ of their obligation “not to part with their weapons but with their lives and of the desirability of keeping their weapons in safe, but accessible, places”. Tuairiscítear gur ainmnigh Pádraig Mac Piarias an Captaen Liam Ó Maol íosa de Bhuíon na dTimirí chun bheith ina Cheann Chatha.
