The Irish Volunteer - Óglach na hÉireann Volume 2 - Number 57

The paper reminds Irish Volunteers of the importance of target practice and says that this should be carried out weekly by all members under the supervision of Company officers.

The growth of the Volunteers in Cork City and County is noted and it is reported that during the previous three months up to 30 instructors were sent out every Sunday to different parts of the county to organise and train Volunteers. Some of them cycle up to 25 miles to reach their destination. There are now some 70 units of the Volunteers in Cork city and County.
