A large Irish Volunteers review and public meeting was held in Carrickmore, Co. Tyrone on 22 August and is reported. The diary of the Wicklow training camp concludes; it had lasted a full two weeks.
Mac Néill again points out the prospect of higher taxation on Ireland as a result of the war.
