Fine Gael/Labour Government should ensure NAMA co-operates with Stormont probe, says inquiry Chair

● Finance Minister Michael Noonan

SINN FÉIN MLA and Assembly Finance Committee Chair Daithí McKay is to write to Finance Minister Michael Noonan requesting co-operation as Stormont investigates claims by Mick Wallace TD about the sale of NAMA's Northern portfolio.

“We are prepared to compel NAMA to attend if they do not accept our invitation,” Daithí McKay said.

“Given the serious nature of these allegations, the Department of Finance and Personnel should also send officials to the inquiry and must not be seen to be running away.

“The committee and the wider public are entitled to the truth.”
