Families of people killed in conflict get support from Sinn Féin
The British Government must live up to its responsibilities on dealing with the past
ADDRESSING the families of dozens of people killed by British state forces and their loyalist allies, Sinn Féin’s Martin McGuinness said the British Government that it must live up to its responsibilities on dealing with the past.
The Sinn Féin party room in Stormont was packed with relatives of nationalists from across the North who are angry at the British Government over its refusal to comply with the European Court of Human Rights Article 2 Right to Life and carry out proper investigations into killings by state and pro-state combatants in unionist death squads.
The event was co-ordinated by advocate group Relatives for Justice, which campaigns on behalf of families of people killed by the British Army, RUC or their loyalist surrogates.
