Sinn Féin all-Ireland strategy meeting
MORE than 100 Sinn Féin activists – including the party’s MPs, TDs, MLAs, MEPs, senators, councillors and key staff from the Assembly, Oireachtas, Westminster and the European Parliament – are holding a two-day planning and strategy session in Termonfeckin, County Louth, on Thursday and Friday.
It will be the first time since the recent significant election gains made by Sinn Féin that representatives and key advisers will come together to examine the challenges facing Ireland, North and South, and to plot the course for the next terms at the Assembly, Oireachtas, EU, Westminster and across the party.
One of the sessions is titled Preparing to Govern – Challenges of Renewing State, Society and Economy.
Another discussion is under the banner of Working Together to Build a Credible Political, Social and Economic Alternative.
Keynote addresses will be delivered by Sinn Féin leader Gerry Adams TD, deputy leader Mary Lou McDonald TD, joint First Minister Martin McGuinness MLA, Martina Anderson MEP and National Chairperson Declan Kearney.
A party spokesperson told An Phoblacht:
“Sinn Féin is a growing, coherent and confident party building Irish unity, promoting reconciliation and delivering economic and social change across Ireland.
“This all-Ireland meeting is a key component of Sinn Féin’s strategy to building a working alternative to the Establishment parties that can deliver real change for people across the island, North and South.”
