Camlough Mini Festival
Saturday, 16 August, sees the hosting of a mini festival of events at the new Shane O'Neill's field, Camlough, Co Armagh.
The entertainment kicks off at 6.30pm with a football match billed as the `Clash of the Ulster Warriors' when ex-prisoners from South Armagh take on a team of ex-prisoners from the rest of Ulster. Half-time entertainment will be provided by local councillors and other elected representatives who will take part in a Poc Fada competition. The winners of the football match will receive the Green Cross Cup.
Later that evening in a marquee on the same site, there will be a double bill of musical entertainment to appeal to all tastes. Admission to this double header is £5.00.
The organisers are hopeful of a number of famous names turning out in both the football and Poc Fada competition and are planning a number of attractions around the venue on Saturday evening.
