AN ALLIANCE Party office in Belfast was the target of a petrol bomb attack on Tuesday night. Three petrol bombs hit the office on the Newtownards Road and masked men were seen running away. Sinn Féin Councillor Niall Ó Donnghaille said attacks on homes and offices are wrong and must end.

The office, in which East Belfast Alliance MP Naomi Long is based, has been attacked a number of times over the last year by loyalists following the party's decision to vote alongside Sinn Féin and the SDLP in favour of only flying the Union flag over Belfast City Hall on designated days.

The Alliance MP said she would not be driven out of her office by firebombs or other attacks.

Niall Ó Donnghaile expressed his solidarity with Naomi Long and her office staff.
