Orange hall attackers ‘not in any way republican’, says Sinn Féin councillor

THE sectarian attack on Crumlin Orange Hall will not be allowed to damage the good community relations which exist in the town, Crumlin Sinn Féin Councillor Anne Marie Logue has said.

“The attack on Crumlin Orange Hall last night was wrong and in no way can be justified.

“Those behind this sectarian attack are not representative of this community nor are they, despite scrawling IRA on the hall several times, in any way republican.

“One thing is for sure they will not be allowed to damage the excellent community relations that exist within the town.

“Only last week, hundreds of people from across the community enjoyed the switching on of the town’s Christmas tree lights together. That is what Crumlin is about and a few mindless individuals will not stop this.”
