1916 relatives and 'Save Moore Street' campaign visit Assembly
RELATIVES of 1916 leaders James Connolly, Eamonn Ceannt, Joseph Plunkett, Seán Mac Diarmada and The O'Rahilly visited the Assembly as part of the ‘Save Moore Street’ campaign to attend an event hosted by joint First Minister Martin McGuinness MLA and Carál Ní Chuilín MLA, Minister for Culture, Arts and Leisure.
Speaking at a press conference, Martin McGuinness described the Moore Street GPO area as “a national treasure” and reiterated Sinn Féin's continuing support for the ‘Save Moore Street’ Campaign.
