Weather fails to stop inaugural Charleville AGM

On Friday 8 January Charleville/Kilmallock Sinn Féin members braved atrocious weather and freezing fog in impressive numbers to hold their first AGM in Charleville, County Cork. The party was encouraged to establish a cumann in Charleville following Sinn Féin’s strong showing in the polls during the 2009 local and European elections in Munster. The new cumann is pledged to providing an alternative to the ineffective public representation that currently fills the council positions locally.
