Bursary scheme for political ex-prisoners

SINN FÉIN Minister Conor Murphy was the main speaker on Monday 10 August as Coiste na nIarchimí announced details of its new Bursaries for Education and Training scheme.
Funded under the European Regional Development Fund through SEUPB the bursaries are available to political ex-prisoners, displaced persons and their immediate families to apply for assistance to help pay course fees for education and training.
“I wish to commend Coiste on the launch of this new Education and Training Bursary Award Scheme”, said Conor Murphy who is a republican ex-prisoner.
Also present at the launch were three people who had in the past benefitted from Coiste bursaries. Jackie Russell who was displaced during the conflict  and former prisoners Jim McVeigh and Paul Webb.
