Hartley and Bairbre de Brún unveil mural

On Saturday 14 March Sinn Féin Mayor of Belfast Tom Hartley along with the party’s MEP for the Six Counties Bairbre de Brún unveiled a set of murals at Divis street in West Belfast aimed at welcoming visitors to the area.
The murals were sponsored by Coiste na nIarchimí and Fáilte Feirste Thiar.
The Coiste sponsored mural plays on the incident, in 1964, when a loyalist mob lead by Ian Paisley attacked the Sinn Féin election office on Divis Street to remove a Tricolour.
The mural tells visitors that the people and flags from across the globe are welcome in West Belfast.
