CALLS FOR AN IMMEDIATE WITHDRAWAL: Sinn Féin MLAs and Councillors join Gerry Adams in launch of billboard campaign

SINN FÉIN MLAs and Councillors from Belfast gathered on Wednesday to launch a billboard campaign in support of the people of Gaza. The Billboards were launched at the site of the former Andersonstown Barracks. Gerry Adams, MP for the area was also in attendance.
Speaking ahead of the event Jennifer McCann, MLA for West Belfast said:
“The situation in Gaza is dire and ongoing. There seems to be no let up in the suffering of the people of Gaza. We have seen over the past two weeks people from all sections of our community add their voices to the international calls for an immediate ceasefire.
“Sinn Féin is once again calling for an immediate end to attacks on all civilians; we are calling for a ceasefire and an immediate withdrawal of Israeli forces. It is also essential that urgent aid to be allowed into Gaza with unimpeded access throughout the Gaza Strip.
“As the humanitarian crisis continues Sinn Féin will be rolling out events to press for and highlight these demands at all levels, and in whatever sphere of influence we can access.”
