Attacks `not by republicans'
Derry Sinn Féin Councillor Cathal Crumley has described attacks on the homes of SDLP councillors Pat Devine and Jim Clifford as ``totally indefensible'' and has offered his sympathy to the men's families.
Crumley said those responsible for the attacks were not republicans. ``The early morning attacks were the work of cowards,'' he said. ``It is, however, irresponsible of Councillors Clifford and Devine to attempt to politicise these despicable attacks by making unfounded allegations.
