DOHERTY, Martin (12th Ann) In proud and loving memory of our dad, Martin (Doco) Doherty, Óglaigh na hÉireann who was killed by Loyalists at the Widow Scallan's pub on 21 May 1994. We seldom ask for miracles but today, just one would do, to have our front door open and see our dad walk in. Look after our dad Lord, don't leave him on his own, love him in heaven, as we did at home. Proudly remembered by his loving sons Martin and Micheal.

If only you'd not been there but somewhere else instead. That's the thought that constantly comes into my head. I was there to hold you, you may have called my name, it may not have made a difference, but it haunts me just the same. All of you who knew Martin, a prayer to Jesus say, for a special brother for some reason could not stay. Proudly remembered by his sister Rita and Jimmy.

DOHERTY, Martin. (12th Ann) In proud memory of my brother Vol Martin Doco Doherty, Dublin Brigade, Óglaigh na hÉireann, who was killed by loyalists at the Widow Scallan's pub on 21 May 1994. The tragic way you had to die is always on my mind. I wonder if you called my name, I wonder if you sighed. I stood beside your grave, I watched them lower the brother I love and tried not awaken the silent remains in the clay. So I laid my heart down beside him and sadly walked away. Proudly remembered by his sister Lilly and Mick.
