Maskey slams those behind Ormeau Road trouble on Twelfth
SOUTH BELFAST Sinn Féin MLA Alex Maskey has hit out at those responsible for yesterday’s violence on the Ormeau Road, describing them as “the same people who have been terrorising this community over the past number of years”.
“Many of those involved in the trouble are the same people who have been selling drugs in the area and breaking into people’s homes in the area.
“Many of those involved were either drunk or high on drugs and some had come from outside the area to cause trouble.
“Their actions yesterday were anti-social and anti-community. The only thing that they achieved was to cause further harm to this community.”
