Donegal mayor's condolences over road traffic tragedy

DONEGAL Mayor Councillor Cora Harvey (Sinn Féin) has expressed her condolences with all the families of the bereaved and injured in Sunday night’s crash on the Clonmany to Buncrana road.

“My heart goes out to the parents and families of all those bereaved and injured and my thoughts and prayers are with them at this tragic time for them.

“I would also like to, on behalf of the members and staff of Donegal County Council, send our sympathies and condolences to all the families who lost loved ones and also to the families of those injured. Words seem inadequate when trying to express the level of grief that this tragedy has visited on the family, friends and indeed the whole Inishowen community.”

The mayor praised the work of the emergency services and the youth services and healthcare agencies providing counselling and bereavement support for people affected by the tragedy.
