A large crowd turned out on Tuesday 21 June to the opening at Mayo County Library of a pictorial exhibition on the 100-year history of Sinn Féin.

Sinn Féin Castlebar Councillor Noel Campbell presided over proceedings on the night and spoke on behalf of the party in Mayo. Councillor Eddie Staunton, Cathaoirleach Mayo County Council, officially opened the exhibition, which will be on display in the library until 7 July.

Councillor Johnny Mee, Mayor of Castlebar, joined Councillor Staunton in opening the exhibition. Councillors Dave Keating and Gerry Murray also represented Sinn Féin on the night. The party's guest speaker was Sinn Féin Leitrim County Councillor Martin Kenny, who spoke of the shared origins that most political parties in Ireland have and the continuation of Sinn Féin's aims throughout the century.
