Ógra demand Sellafield shutdown
Following a recent meeting of Munster Ógra Shinn Féin in Tralee, activists from every corner of the Cúige recently joined with their comrades from Kerry in demanding the immediate closure of Sellafield. The young political activists made certain they were noticed and their point was made in the town centre of Tralee. Ógra Munster Organiser, James O' Sullivan, said: " It is shocking that the recent hazardous leak at Sellafield was not detected until six months after it occurred. This highlights the lack of safety at Sellafield and has raised concerns among the public.
"Sellafield is a serious threat to the public's wellbeing and Ógra will actively campaign for the immediate closure of the Sellafield site."
