Sinn Féin Chief Negotiator Martin McGuinness is to address Coiste na nIarchimí's annual youth camp, which is being held in the picturesque Benburb Priory, County Tyrone, over the weekend of 11 and 12 June.

This year's National Youth Camp, organised under Coiste's Processes of Nation Building programme, is Coiste's third such event and focuses on the 100-year anniversaries of both Sinn Féin and Ulster Unionism.

With a representative of Ulster Unionism expected to attend, those in attendance will have the opportunity to hear just where the Ulster Unionist Party can go after its disappointing return from the May elections.

"The Youth Camp is geared towards providing young people with the opportunity to engage in dialogue with leading political figures from both the republican and unionist traditions," said Dominic Adams, Coiste's Youth Officer.

However, Adams was quick to point out that the annual camp also has a programme of social and cultural activities, "so those who attend can enjoy sporting events, live music and a tour of one of the most historic sites in Ireland".

The Youth Camp begins at 1.30pm on Saturday 11 June and ends at 1.30pm on Sunday 12 June and booking is essential as there are limited spaces.

For further information contact Dominic Adams at Coiste na nIarchimí (048/028) 90 200770.
