Sinn Féin is recruiting an Irish Language Development Officer

AN BHFUIL grá agat don Ghaeilge? Grá agat don Phoblachtánachas? Suim agat do theanga agus do thír a chuir chun cinn? Má tá, b’fhéidir gur tusa an duine atá ag teastáil chun folúntas, nua dúshlánach atá ag Sinn Féín a líonadh.
Sinn Féin are recruiting for a new position in the party: Irish Language Development Officer. This person will be involved in the implementation of the Irish Language Strategy the party adopted at last year’s Ard Fheis in Belfast. The policy aims at promoting the Irish language at every level in the party, working with the elected representatives and activists at all levels of the organisation to ensure that we increase the level of Irish used in our communications, at meetings and informing policy relating to the language throughout the party.
Duine díograsach, líofa atá ag teastáil. Duine a bhfuil eolas mhaith acu ar saol na Gaeilge agus na himreoirí éagsúla a bhaineann léi. Ní mór dóibh chomh maith, luí a bheith acu le haidhmeanna Sinn Féín agus an obair atá ar siúl ag gach leibhéal den pháirtí. Gan dabht, ni mhór go mbeadh an duine a roghnófar fuinniúil agus ábalta oibriú go maith as a stuaim féin. Beidh siad freagrach d’Oifig an Uachtaráin agus Rannóg an Chultúir agus beidh siad ag comhoibriú leis na grúpaí stiurtha polasaí chomh maith.
The ideal person for this post will be a fluent Gaeilgeoir who is motivated and has a flair for great communication and working with people. They will need to co-operate with people at all levels in the organisation to ensure that the Irish language is promoted through all our structures and activities. This is going to take energy, imagination and enthusiasm but the successful candidate will play a key role in developing Sinn Féin as the island’s foremost political proponents of our language and culture.
Is deis den scoth atá anseo do dhuine a dteastaíonn dúshlán uathu chun a gcuid scileanna idirphearsanra a léiriú agus chun ról gníomhach a ghlacadh i bhforbairt an pháirtí sna blianta beaga atá romhainn. Tá fás agus forás ag teacht ar Shinn Féin agus tá muid ag iarraidh ár dteanga agus cultúr a bheith lárnach sa bhforbairt seo agus muid ag dul i dtreo comóradh Eirí Amach 1916 chomh maith. Más tá spéis agatsa nó ag duine ar d’aithne i bpost mar seo, tá na sonraí uile le fáil faoi ach teagmháil a dhéanamh le [email protected].
If you think you’ve got what it takes to develop a strong and proactive Irish language policy for Ireland’s fastest-growing and most culturally active party, or if you know someone else who does, get in touch with rosscarmody@hotmail.com for further details.
