Sept. 29th 1972: Vol Jimmy Quigley, Belfast Brigade, 2nd Battalion; Oct. 1st 1977: Seán O Conaill, Sinn Féin (Parkhurst Prison); Oct. 1st: 1996 Pat McGeown, Sinn Féin; Oct. 2nd 1971: Vol Terence McDermott, Belfast Brigade, 1st Batt; Oct. 2nd 1978: Vol Pat Harkin, Derry Brigade. "To hold back and pretend it doesn't affect you is to take the easy way out. To take arms and fight back is hard and dangerous. It takes courage, dedication and a devotion to your people to take the hard road to freedom.'' - Séamus Twomey. Remembered with love and pride by their many friends and comrades in the Republican Movement.

O'NEILL, Diarmuid (8th Ann). Died 23 September 1996. Murdered by the British forces in London. Always remembered by the Kelly family and Longford SF.

QUIGLEY, Jimmy (32nd Ann). In sad and loving memory of my beloved son and our dear brother James. RIP, killed in action on 29 September 1972. St Patrick pray for him. Lay him away on the hillside, along with the brace and the bold. Remembered always by his loving mother and brothers and large family circle. I measc laochra na nGael go raibh sé.

QUIGLEY, Jimmy (32nd Ann). In proud and loving memory of my friend and comrade, IRA Volunteer Jimmy Quigley, killed by the British army whilst fighting for the freedom of his people on Friday, 29 September 1972. Long ago and oh so far away, Jimmy, but it‚s still like yesterday and here. The sore never leaves, never heals, and we carry you in our hearts, in our memories. From Danny Morrison.
