Sympathies from Australia

Irish republican supporters in Australia were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Joe Cahill.

He was a giant of man in the struggle for a United Ireland.

His courage and commitment to the freedom of Ireland inspired generations of republican supporters here in Australia and throughout the rest of the world.

In mourning his passing we also celebrate his great contribution. In honouring his memory we re-dedicate ourselves to the cause he so nobly served — a United Ireland, an Ireland of Equals.
