The actor Dan Gordon on Wednesday officially opened the new custom-built studio for Féile FM, the radio station linked to Féile an Phobail, the West Belfast Festival. Dozens of people from across Belfast attended the opening of the studio, which is now located in the Conway Mill Complex on the Falls Road.

Among the guests was the area's MP, Gerry Adams, who expressed his admiration for the work of the people who produced the radio and welcomed the fact that its nomadic existence had now come to an end and that the station would have a permanent home in the Mill.

Veronica Campbell, Féile FM co-ordinator, speaking to An Phoblacht, explained that the radio broadcast twice yearly to coincide with the events organised around St Patrick's Day and the West Belfast Festival period: "The work of Féile FM is carried out by up to 200 people who give of their time and effort voluntarily. If it wasn't for them, then the station couldn't function. We are now looking forward to when we begin broadcasting from the new station next month."
