Spanish and French Prisons today - Basque and Irish political ex-prisoners talk

7.30pm Friday 12 December 2003 - Teachers Club (room 2), 64 Parnell Sq. West

The event will be a public presentation of the situation of the political prisoners currently being held in Spanish and French prisons as a consequence of the political conflict between the Basque Country and the Spanish State. Issues such as prisoners rights (bails, release, health, education, visits...), special legislation, special courts, etc will be covered, as it would be any other matter that those attending want to raise.

The meeting will be addressed by the Basque political ex-prisoner Leire Gallastegi and by the Irish political ex-prisoner Pat "Flash" McVeigh. After their presentation and the relevant questions and answers we hope there will be an opportunity for an open debate.
