Adams welcomes Haass announcement
Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams MP has welcomed the announcement by the White House that Richard Haass, who is leaving his State Department Post, has been reappointed as President Bush's special envoy on the North.
Adams said: "This decision is clear evidence of the US Administration's commitment to the peace process. It also ensures a continuity of experience and policy in the Bush administration."
The Sinn Féin President also welcomed the Administration's support for the full implementation of the Good Friday Agreement.
