Act against drugs gangs demand Sinn Féin TDs

THE Irish Government has been strongly challenged this week by Sinn Féin over its response to the escalating problem of gun and drugs crime. Amidst continuing shootings and murders by drugs gangs, drugs seizures including €2 million of heroin in West Dublin this week, and a warning by Kerry TD Martin Ferris that dangerous amphetamines are gaining a foothold in rural towns like Tralee, Sinn Féin has demanded greater resources and a more concerted focus on tackling the problem.

Disability rights campaign makes a million signatures

SINN FÉIN Equality Spokesperson Aengus Ó Snodaigh TD has announced that the 1million4disability campaign has successfully collected one million signatures to put pressure on the European Commission and individual states to deliver disability rights in all aspects of life.

All-island intiative on cancer care services for North West

In an all-island initiative Sinn Féin representatives from throughout the North West region presented a letter and petition of protest to Minister for Health Mary Harney and her Northern counterpart Michael McGimpsey on Wednesday over the continued failure of their departments to progress plans for a satellite radiation unit based in the North West of Ireland serving cancer patients on a cross border basis.

45 cops quit to dodge probes
